Places make memories.

Have you ever gone somewhere and had a feeling of recognition followed by a series of memories? Being on any beach brings back vivid memories of various holidays and happy times from the past.
Well, this post is about a different kind of memory: a therapy one.
In a few days time I’m having to return to the place where I first met the psychologist who helped me a lot. I was terrified about being there, about if she would be nice, about if she would turn me away. It became the most valuable therapeutic relationship I’ve ever experienced.
Going back to the same building brings back feelings of confusion. I’m not going there to see her, but I know that being in that waiting room will remind me of all the good and bad times I had there.
I just hope the anxiety doesn’t kick in.
